In this Tip of the week video I explain how to set up an emergency filter bag. You add this bag filled with filter media either to your external filter or internal filter. This filter bag will come in very handy once it's matured if you quickly need to set up an quarantine aquarium, Hospital aquarium or a fry tank - this bag can also be used to kick start the filtration cycle on a new fish tank. yeah this is always a good idea , I use some media from my filter to seed any new tanks I set up .
how often do you change your ceramic media ? because they recomend every 6 months . that’s the reason I changed to plastic bio balls cause you never need to replace them
