when fish are stressed their gills will often be enflamed, they will breath fast, and they will be very skiddish, possibly torn up, or have infactions.

new research supports claimsthat drip acclimatin for more than 15 minutes is bad for the majrity of your fishes health, that is not to say their are not exceptions to this rule, more reserch is required.
fish are much hardier than most suspect.
if a fish is moving from high to low salinity , a fish can be acclimated in under a minute.
when from low to high it will almost always take the full 15 minutes.
i still recomend the full 15 minutes, i do not condone just throwing them in.
Hmmmm we have 2 goldfish and they seem not to move much like they stay on one spot and won’t swim around like other fish I see…

their could be many things, or nothing wrong with them.
what size tank do you have?
what do you feed?
and what are the water paramaters?
temp, nitrite, nitrate, ammonia, phosphate, ph, alkalinity, etc.

the only way to tell if ur fish is stressed is for him to tell u that his stressed .
like hes trying to attack you.

i have a question.
i baught new a filter because i baught another filter fron another place that turned out to be faulty.
the water i put in is fresh and the gravel is clean, it has no fish in the tank as of yet.
my concern is waiting 6 days untill the filter i ordered arives will i have have to change the water again because its been sat there for a possable 5 days with no filter?
26 degrees celsius is the temp that I keep my fresh water tank at. If it gets above about 30 degress celsius do a water change with some cooler tap water.

could be a number of things, But most common would be that;
there isn’t enough air flow into the tank
not enough algae eaters (sucker fish)
to much lime in the tank or other minerals
i suggest you get a ph tester and remove any foreign objects. things such as timber bricks and rocks can all have an effect on the water ph levels

@kaleluk31 no you probably dont need to change the water but i just noticced u posted that commetnt 6 months ago sooooo this is not really going to help but i prob would just take out some water not like scrup it down or syphon the gravel or anything and i would do this because dust and other contaminents might get in your water hope ur fish tank is doing well
